FAQs

FAQs

How do you work?
I work with individuals either face to face or via remote communication platforms (of your choice) with sessions that last for 50 minutes.  I work within the guidelines set by B.A.C.P. to insure good practice with all therapy confidential. Currently due to COVID-19 I am only accepting remote appointments for safety reasons and adherence to government guidelines.

Who can benefit from counselling & psychotherapy?
People and children of all ages, backgrounds, religions, races and cultures can benefit from counselling. We all experience times when we feel different, lost or isolated or find it difficult to get motivated about anything. However, you can significantly benefit from talking to someone who is empathic, impartial, kind and non-judgemental.

What will happen next?
I will arrange to meet for an initial consultation so that we can explore your needs, expectations and goals. I will also conduct an assessment of your presenting problem to determine the best way of helping you.

How long will therapy take?
The length of therapy is determined by your goals and presenting problem. Therapy sessions would normally be on a weekly basis. I will try and meet at the same time on the same day every week to suit your schedule. I have daytime, evening and weekend sessions available. CBT can have very effective results in short periods of time. Short-term and long-term therapy is available.

How much will it cost?
The cost for an individual 60 minute session is £50.  Payment can be either made in advance or  at the end of every session with cash, cheque or bank transfer.

Where will the sessions be held?
All counselling sessions are held at my Private Practice in Lisvane, Cardiff, CF14 0UP.  In special circumstances home visits can be accommodated.

How do I make an appointment?
To arrange an initial session either call or text on 07808058315 or email at cbtwithdeb@gmail.com

Cancellation Policy
48 hours notice is required for cancellations and rescheduling to prevent charges occurring.
